DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position provides ongoing case management and support to individuals and their families. As a County Caseworker 2, you will perform the following duties: Case Management: Maintain regular contact with consumers and families to assess services and document progress Lead Support: Guide professional staff or student interns when assigned Advocacy Services: Help consumers access economic, health, physical, or vocational resources Direct Contact: Provide frequent outreach and treatment based on individual needs Crisis Response: Deliver emergency and on call support on a rotating schedule Information Gathering: Collect personal and family details needed to identify concerns and connect consumers with services Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Irregular hours including evening and weekends, may be required. Works on a rotating basis 24/7 once trained. Occasional overnight and out of county travel for meetings or training. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
