VP of Finance

Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join their team.As the Vice President of Finance, you will lead a cross-border team of accounting professionals based in both the U.S. and Mexico. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, efficient processes, and strategic financial planning. You will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounting and finance, including general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, payroll, and benefits administration.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals in both the U.S. and Mexico.
• Develop and implement robust financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company's assets and profitability.
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting and financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage financial operations across borders, ensuring compliance with U.S. and Mexican regulations.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms and legal advisors to support the company's strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• MBA required; Master's degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and planning.
• Proven track record of leading and managing cross-border financial operations.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and Mexican accounting standards.
• Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to Mexico regularly.

• Experience with financial planning and analysis for high-growth companies.
• Familiarity with cross-border tax planning and compliance.
• Experience with risk management and internal controls.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
