This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to company safety and quality standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate saws and cutting equipment to prepare materials per work orders and drawings.Measure, mark, and cut steel, aluminum, or other materials to precise dimensions.Review production schedules, blueprints, and work orders to determine material requirements.Inspect materials before and after cutting for defects, correct length, and quality standards.Maintain accurate records of materials cut, scrap, and completed work.Follow all company safety protocols, including proper PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saws and work areas.Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production needs or equipment issues.Assist in material handling, inventory organization, and general shop duties as assigned.RequirementsQualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Minimum 1 year of experience operating industrial saws or similar machinery (preferred).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.Work EnvironmentIndustrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.Requires use of safety equipment including glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.Physical RequirementsStanding and walking for extended periods.Manual dexterity to operate saws and handling tools.Repetitive motion and occasional heavy lifting.
