Growing industrial real estate development company expanding through acquisitions Small, hands-on accounting team where this person has a visible, high-impact seat Works directly with the Assistant Controller, Fractional CFO, COO, and other senior leaders Accounting function that is building more structure, controls, and consistency as the company grows What They Offer You Full ownership of both AP and AR, the core of the accounting function Direct exposure to executive leadership and how a growing company makes financial decisions The chance to build and improve processes rather than just maintain them Room to lead through ownership and influence as the team and company scaleLOCATION
South Charlotte – hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote Responsibilities Own the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing, collections, and vendor payments. Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and adherence to close deadlines. Support audits and financial reporting, preparing schedules and documentation for leadership and external auditors. Identify gaps and bring structure, controls, and consistency to accounting processes as the company grows through acquisitions. Partner with the Assistant Controller, Fractional CFO, COO, and other leaders to resolve issues and support reporting needs. Complete the hands-on work day to day while improving how it gets done.BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Ownership of AP and AR in a full-cycle accounting role Strong month-end close, journal entry, and account reconciliation experience Audit support experience A track record of cleaning up or building accounting processes and controls Small-company or lean-team experience. You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats.
