Staff Accountant

SBCS are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients'growing team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting functions and supporting the financial operations of our company. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Reconcile bank and credit card statements Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget variances Assist with annual audits and tax filings Maintain accurate and organized financial records Support the preparation of financial reports for management and clients Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance CPA certification is preferred Strong understanding of GAAP principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks, NetSuite, etc.) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Prior experience in a consulting firm is a plus Join our team and be a part of a dynamic and innovative company that is dedicated to making a positive impact on our clients' businesses.
