Marycrest Manor, a faith-based skilled nursing facility, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our supportive and caring team. The primary purpose of your job is to provide each of your residents with daily nursing care and restorative services in accordance with the physician's order, resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your Charge Nurse/Licensed Nurse and RN Supervisors.

Duties:

• Greet all visitors in a friendly manner.
• Ambulate residents to dining room or to sit in chair for all meals. Encourage residents to walk if they are able to ambulate safely.
• Pass correct meal trays to residents and set up completely for each meal.
• Pass resident's nourishment twice daily during morning shift. Once during evening shift.
• Assist in hydration program.
• Monitor and encourage those in feeding program. Encourage independence.
• Perform active/passive range-of-motion daily during residents' bath/shower.
• Assist residents with shower or bed bath daily.
• Ambulate residents to bathroom.
• Follow through on bowel and bladder program, toilet residents per schedule. Complete documentation appropriately.
• Observe and adhere to safety and infection control procedures. Soiled linen to be placed only in the soiled linen containers.
• Account for residents' dentures, glasses, hearing aids, beginning and end of shift.
• Follow facility protocol personal / facility laundry.
• Transport residents to and from all activities daily. Ambulate whenever able.
• Always keep resident's room neat and tidy daily.
• Keep resident's closet organized, neat and tidy daily.
• Take vital signs within 5 minutes as ordered and/or requested.
• Organize and prioritize workload.
• Follow all safety procedures and other regulations established in the employee handbook.
• Respect privacy of residents always. Keep noise level to minimal, maintain a peaceful environment.
• Complete documentation timely, thoroughly and within 5 minutes of shift end. Check with Charge nurse prior to leaving to ensure documentation is done.
• Empty trash in residents' room at end of shift.
• Successfully complete Marycrest Manor's orientation program
• Consistently participate in on-going training and in-service program.
• Complete all continuing education requirements to maintain active and current State certification or license.

Salary Range - $21.52 - $23.00- Depending on Experience
