At Silver Acres Adult Family Home in Chehalis, WA, we are seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Care Aide to join our nurse-led, family-owned team. The Home Care Aide will provide hands-on care and meaningful companionship to elderly residents, including those with dementia, hospice needs, and long-term care requirements, in a supportive and warm environment. This full-time position reports to the Facility Manager and offers opportunities for career growth from Caregiver to Lead and Manager roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe and comfortable resident mobility
• Provide medication assistance following nurse delegation and policy
• Assist during mealtimes and serve meals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and positive living environment
• Report resident condition changes and communicate with nursing and management teams
• Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, and respect
• Collaborate effectively with the care team
• Participate in training and mentorship activities

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State CNA or HCA license in good standing
• Current Nurse Delegation certification
• Mental Health and Dementia Specialty training
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
• Completion of 12 hours of continuing education annually

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of caregiving experience
• CNA or HCA certification
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Care Aide (HCA) credentials
• Proficiency in medication assistance and patient safety practices
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Demonstrated compassionate care and teamwork
• Experience with accurate reporting and documentation
