Senior Manager, Project Discovery & Transitions

Role Description

The Senior Manager, Project Discovery & Transitions serves as the primary steward of how new project teams discover, join, arrive, and begin to experience Multiplier. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of Multiplier’s project pipeline discovery, approval, post-approval/pre-arrival, and departure systems.

• Serve as the primary guide for prospective Project Teams, creating a transparent, trust-centered discovery experience.
• Communicate Multiplier’s model, services, expectations, and decision criteria with clarity and consistency.
• Design and lead discovery engagements that surface key considerations related to mission alignment, feasibility, organizational readiness, and risk.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate conversations using structured guides while navigating nuance and building trust.
• Synthesize insights from discovery into clear, decision-ready summaries.
• Lead qualification and due diligence processes, establishing clear expectations, timelines, and information flows.
• Guide the collection and synthesis of key information, including leadership, funding, project structure, staffing, and operational complexity.
• Lead the post-approval/pre-arrival phase for new Project Teams, establishing clear pathways from acceptance through full arrival into Multiplier.
• Identify and assess operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks.
• Lead structured departure processes, including transitions to independent 501(c)(3) status, and closures.
• Identify and document patterns across inquiries and project experiences to inform improvements to the pipeline strategy and discovery processes.

• Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple stakeholders and guide clear, timely decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to design, interpret, and evolve systems that connect strategy, operations, and stakeholder experience.
• Working knowledge of 501(c)(3) nonprofit structures, rules, and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to design and apply processes that reduce bias and support equitable participation.
• Experience leading multi-step, multi-stakeholder processes requiring coordination, judgment, and adaptability.
• Skilled in guiding discussion and communication clearly across audiences.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills across multiple priorities.
