Journeyman Electrician – Full-Time

Location: Dayton, Ohio, and surrounding areas
Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, minimum of 40 hours per week
Openings: 1–2 immediate positions available

Job Summary

Ohio Electric Services is seeking experienced and dependable Journeyman Electricians for commercial, residential, and industrial projects throughout Dayton and the surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting and installation experience, works safely and efficiently, and has a thorough working knowledge of the National Electrical Code. This is a full-time opportunity for an electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship and is ready to contribute as part of a professional team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, residential, and industrial environments

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, job specifications, and electrical plans

• Complete work in compliance with the National Electrical Code, applicable Ohio requirements, and local codes

• Diagnose electrical problems and determine safe, effective solutions

• Verify that electrical systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other trades

• Travel between job sites as required

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship program

• Valid journeyman electrician license or equivalent credential, where applicable

• At least 3–5 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience

• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable state and local requirements

• Ability to read blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical specifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to perform the physical duties required for electrical construction and service work
