Security Department Assistant

Specific Job Functions:

• Answer multi-line telephones and take messages for the Security department
• File all security related reports
• Enter department data into the computer
• Accurately prepare and process employee accident reports using information provided by Security and departmental personnel.
• Process lost and found items
• Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
• Assist Department Coordinator as needed
• Create pick up dates for file storage
• Notify Department Coordinator when office supplies are running low
• Verify the identity and authorized access of employees and visitors entering the building and
• Assist visitors with notifying proper department of their arrival
• Receive and communicate reported safety concerns to the appropriate department for follow-up
• Create and issue vendor badges
• Maintain confidentiality when handling security reports, accident information, and other sensitive records

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• At least six months previous administrative experience required
• Excellent customer service skills necessary
• Must have basic knowledge of computer programs
• Must be available to work the assigned shift, including weekends and holidays
