Registered Nurse (RN) - Evening Shift

Location

Rural area, 2 hours from Boston, MA

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM or 3 PM to 7 AM. Must be willing to float to various units as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents, observing changes in their physical and mental well-being, and communicating pertinent observations to the Supervisor. The RN will also administer medications, manage electronic documentation, supervise licensed nursing assistants (LNAs), and ensure compliance with infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observe residents and report changes to the Supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Supervise LNAs and assign tasks based on their qualifications and scope of practice.
• Participate in physician rounds and address residents' medical needs.
• Perform wound care and manage nutritional schedules for residents.
• Conduct admissions, discharges, and transfers, completing necessary documentation.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment, addressing any health and safety issues.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding resident care and concerns.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of current nursing experience within the last 6 months.
• IV certification required (must be willing to obtain if not currently certified).
• COVID vaccination required; no declinations/exemptions accepted.
• Active RN license in New Hampshire.
• Previous travel experience and rural facility experience preferred.
