POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Case Aide must adhere to and apply to the agency policies and procedures, code of ethics, Program Federal regulations and State mandates. The Flores Settlement Agreement, Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, Perez-Olano Settlement Agreement, and the Violence against Women Reauthorization Act. The Case Aide is responsible for providing direct support to the case management team to utilize sound professional judgement and best practices in order to ensure the swift reunification of children and their sponsor(s) while maintaining compliance with established local, state and federal policies and procedures. Provide safe escort to children.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Bilingual English/Spanish, ability to read, analyzes, and interprets the most complex documents. Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.

VACCINATIONS REQUIRED

Be able to show proof of immunization or immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route, including: Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection. MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases. Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

All of the responsibilities listed below are considered essential functions of this position. Additionally, this position is expected to ensure that the core operating values and the strategic direction of the agency are adhered to. Provide tangible support to the assigned case management team. Prepare, compile, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and additional relevant information in accord with agency policy, licensing and/or funding requirements. Review portal for compliance with upload requirements and ensure updates are input as needed for safety and timely discharge. Complete calls with sponsors assigned to gather information. Actively participate in safety and service-related resource development prior to children discharge. Participate in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating designated social service program(s). Provide documented information related to identified delays in the processing of cases. Attend scheduled meetings and participate in team decisions and operations. Assist in special projects. Case aide will escort children, verify identification of approved sponsor and release custody of children to approved sponsor. Adhere to Child Abuse and reporting requirements. Must be reliable regarding task completion and meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, work quality, or customer service satisfaction. Attend meetings and trainings when needed or requested. Perform other duties as requested by the assigned supervisor and or management Physical Activity Reaching, Standing, Fingering, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motion Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
