Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 17 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary PACU PEDS (Recovery Room Pediatrics) Madison, Wisconsin This position involves providing peri-anesthetic care for pediatric patients undergoing surgical and procedural procedures in a pediatric medical and surgical center. The role demands independent management of complex cases, ensuring safety and quality care within a specialized environment. Job Details Location: Madison, Wisconsin Position Description: Evening/Night shifts, 8/10/12 hours, from 7:00pm-7:30am or 11:00pm-7:30am, with flexibility. Shifts may be scheduled Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday with no on-call responsibility. Required Qualifications: Pediatric PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) experience of at least 2 years, Epic experience, Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license (pending submission acceptable), BLS and PALS certification, current Twp RN license or ability to obtain one. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: Candidates will be required to pass Telemetry testing prior to start. The role includes care for Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, and Pediatrics with a daily census of 25 patients. The position involves managing complex post-anesthetic pediatric care, with responsibilities including airway assessment, vascular access, monitoring, medication management, and use of advanced equipment.
