Description

• Conduct assessments for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized testing and observational strategies.
• Design tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver specialized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide essential education to patients and families to reinforce progress outside sessions.
• Participate in occasional speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatient care, maintaining consistent support throughout each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Embrace continuous professional development through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be secured within 30 days of hire.
