Corn Utility 2ND SHIFT Machine Operator - Portland, IN

Job Details Utility Machine Operator – Full-Time – Portland, IN 47371 Starting pay: $23.70 per hour with second and third shift increase. Position Summary The Utility Machine Operator is responsible for filling in for vacation/absenteeism and must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the department. Responsibilities and Knowledge Operate machinery, understanding product specs. Document machine settings, weights, and data on paper and electronically. Assemble, disassemble, and clean equipment as needed. Communicate issues to lead and supervisor. Keep legible, accurate records and enter data into a computer-based system. Perform other work assigned by supervisor. Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements. Operate a Power Industrial Truck. Use and read scales and thermometers. Perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with calculator. Qualifications Willing and able to lift 50 lbs. frequently. Minimum 3 months of operator or manufacturing experience listed in work history or skills; at least 6 months of work history in 12 months to be considered. Must not have been terminated from a previous employer for attendance or job abandonment. Willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation. Background check will be required if offered. Physical Requirements Willing and able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis; flex/grip with wrists/hands; walk, bend, and stand continuously.
