Apply today and be part of our growth!Job DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Specialist provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by accurately processing, verifying, reconciling, and recording invoices and payments in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role prioritizes tasks effectively, works with a high level of organization and attention to detail, and ensures timely and accurate completion of accounting responsibilities. The Accounts Payable Specialist maintains strict confidentiality while supporting the overall efficiency and financial integrity of the business.ResponsibilitiesEnter and verify vendor invoices in the accounting system and match them to purchase ordersReview reports to identify discrepancies in the three-way match processCollaborate directly with Buyers and Operations teams to resolve billing discrepanciesManage vendor accounts and maintain positive vendor relationshipsReport payment exceptions to vendors promptlyProcess a high volume of accounts payable transactionsReconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure accuracy between both partiesCommunicate professionally with vendors by phone and emailMaintain up-to-date vendor records, including contact and remittance detailsEnsure confidentiality of sensitive financial informationVerify payment accuracy by matching documentation to check runs before disbursementKeep an organized workspace and maintain filing systems for efficiencyParticipate in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledgeSkills and KnowledgeAbility to manage multiple, complex projects while meeting deadlines, Effective time management and ability to manage multiple priorities, Excellent organization skills with the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently, Exceptional verbal, writing, and analytical skills, High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality, Proficiency with computer systems and data entryQualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience or applicable accounting/finance educationProficiency in Microsoft Excel preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipmentAble to clearly view and read information on a computer screenOccasionally lift or move items up to 15 poundsLocationOn-site in Lenexa, KSPay Range$20.00 - $26.00 #J-18808-Ljbffr
