Registered Nurse (RN) – CCU / Adult ICU

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12 hours | 36 hours/week
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate

• Local: $66–$71/hr

• Traveler: $66–$71/hr

Required Qualifications

• Active and valid New York State RN License

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute-care nursing experience within the past 2 years

• Recent experience in a similar-size hospital or acute-care facility

• Adult ICU/CCU experience required

• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required

• Current BLS certification

• EPIC experience preferred

• Strong critical-care assessment and patient-management skills

• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

• Ability to provide patient care with minimal orientation and supervision

• Must successfully complete required health clearance, drug screening, and background check

• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

• Professional license/certification must be active and unrestricted

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult ICU/CCU patients.

• Perform detailed nursing assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.

• Monitor and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

• Provide critical-care interventions appropriate to patient needs.

• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC .

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Maintain patient safety and follow infection-control and hospital policies.

• Work night shifts, every other weekend, and assigned holidays as required.
