Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description Job Description * Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available * Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately in electronic health records * Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures * Perform clinical procedures including venipuncture, EKG administration, specimen collection, and injections as directed * Process and prepare laboratory specimens for testing and maintain quality control standards * Manage patient flow efficiently to optimize provider schedules and minimize wait times * Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions * Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards * Sterilize medical instruments and maintain infection control protocols * Coordinate patient referrals and communicate with external healthcare facilities * Handle administrative duties including scheduling, phone triage, and medical record management Required Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting * Phlebotomy proficient * High school diploma or equivalent required * Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) strongly preferred * Current CPR/BLS certification * Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures * Excellent organizational and time-management skills * Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
