PATIENT ACCOUNTS SPECIALIST-GOVERNMENT BILLING

Responsibilities Universal Health Services (UHS) - Western Region Consolidated Business Office (WCBO) The Western Region Consolidated Business Office delivers comprehensive insurance revenue services to our affiliated UHS facilities, encompassing billing, collections, cash posting, pre‑access management, variance analysis, and customer service. Job Description: Patient Account Specialist – Government Billing Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM Responsible for the maintenance and processing of patient accounts. Gather information timely and accurately for proper billing, collections, and follow‑up for Government payers. Conduct appropriate account activity and overcome barriers to assure timely payment. Understand managed care contracts and reimbursement procedures. Qualifications Experience 1–3 years of government medical insurance experience in a medical setting. Education High School diploma or equivalent. Billing/Collections coding education is a plus. Requirements Demonstrated knowledge of government medical insurance billing. Reimbursement and medical claims experience. Understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOB). Open to cross training. This opportunity offers the following: Challenging and rewarding work environment.
