Join our team to create a complex mission critical communications system for our DoD customer. Your focus will be on complex design and creation of a large aperture antenna system and its subsequent technical and resilience testing. You will work in a cross-functional team, face difficult problems, and be expected to work independently with limited oversight.Responsibilities:With input from multidiscipline teammates, plan, design, develop, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical components and sub-systems.Create detailed technical specifications, system diagrams, wiring diagrams, CAD designs, BOMs, etc. for large aperture antenna systemsDevelop and present design reviews to customers, ensuring clear communication of technical conceptsRepresent program leadership by leading customer presentations, demonstrating project progress and system capabilitiesReview test procedures for factory and site acceptance testing to ensure system quality and performancePrepare and review Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to meet program documentation requirementsCoordinate with technical support personnel regarding the mechanical portions of prototype testingQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering or similar field from an ABET accredited university7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related fieldProven subject matter experience in creating and managing end-to-end mechanical system design; system diagrams, wiring diagrams, power budgets, mechanical designs, and managing BOMsExperience with factory and site testing verification proceduresAbility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearanceFamiliarity with CAD softwareDesired:Master's degree in a relevant engineering field5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for large aperture antenna systems or related defense projectsDemonstrated ability in creating and presenting design reviews to government customersHands-on experience with global deployment of large-scale antenna systemsFamiliarity with Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and government contracting processesFamiliarity with relevant applications: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Systems Tool Kit (STK), Solidworks, Python/MATLAB-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
