Who You Are The successful Interior Designer candidate assists with the creation and execution of design deliverables, including presentations and construction documents. This position encourages creativity in problem solving while balancing the application of company standards and templates. Project size, type, exposure, and responsibility will vary, including renovation and new construction opportunities. This position will require a high level of coordination with others within a team environment, working under the direct supervision of an experienced Lead Interior Designer or Architect. Project work may include various levels of design, including space planning, design development, construction documents and details, and FF&E specification. Core Responsibilities Work under the direction of an experienced Interior Designer or Architect to execute all phases of design. Generate design and construction models and documentation utilizing Revit. Conduct product research, evaluate materials, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for project-specific needs as well as keeping the company Material Library up to date. Assist in the development of studies, visualizations, presentations, and reports. Maintenance of Finish Resource Library by leveraging relationships with product manufacturers and sales staff. Work closely with design team and consultants to develop and ensure coordinated and constructible designs. Participate and contribute during drawing reviews and coordination meetings. Coordinate color and material palettes (digital & physical). Assemble finish boards. Incorporate Sustainable Design research and solutions into projects. Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings. Assist with the selection, documentation, specification and installation coordination of FF&E. Minimum Qualifications Accredited Professional Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Bachelors or Masters), or Canadian / International equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Revit and Microsoft Office suite Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) Flexibility for moderate travel in support of project-based or training activities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with furnishings and interior finishes, including materials and color selection. Preferred candidate will have or work toward seeking NCIDQ certification.
