Patient and Digital Marketing Lead

Pharvaris

Pharvaris is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel, oral bradykinin B2 receptor antagonists to potentially address all types of bradykinin-mediated angioedema. By targeting this clinically proven therapeutic target with novel, oral small molecules, the Pharvaris team is advancing new alternatives to injected therapies for the prevention and treatment of hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks, and other bradykinin B2-receptor-mediated indications. HAE is a rare and potentially life-threatening genetic disease, and people living with HAE can suffer sudden and prolonged attacks of swelling in multiple areas of the body, including the airway, which can be life-threatening.

We are excited to be expanding our U.S. Commercial team and are looking for a Patient & Digital Marketing Lead , to join our team and report to our Portfolio Marketing Lead.

Location
At Pharvaris we promote and enable a flexible hybrid work environment, where our employees choose from where (and to some extent when) they prefer to work. While this is a remote/hybrid role, you need to reside in the U.S. .

The role
The Patient & Digital Marketing Lead is responsible for shaping how the brand connects with patients and advocacy communities across the portfolio. In a disease area like HAE, where diagnosis and treatment journeys are often long, fragmented, and emotionally complex, this role ensures patient education, storytelling, and digital engagement are relevant, credible, and meaningful. This role leads the development of patient-facing resources and campaigns while testing and refining creative approaches early enough to ensure patient initiatives are ready to launch in close coordination with HCP-facing efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key within the Commercial organization, accountable for shaping and advancing patient and caregiver marketing strategy in support of launch readiness and long-term brand growth
  • Develop deep expertise in the patient journey by generating insights, identifying unmet needs and friction points, and translating those insights into actionable strategic choices across the business
  • Lead the creation and execution of patient community marketing plans that deliver a distinctive brand experience and drive patient education, engagement, and adoption through both personal and non-personal channels
  • Partner cross-functionally to define the patient and caregiver narrative and ensure it is aligned with the broader brand strategy and overall portfolio story
  • Work closely with Patient Advocacy, Patient Services, and HCP Marketing to design a coordinated, seamless patient experience across touchpoints
  • Build and lead the patient ambassador strategy and program, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment and thoughtful integration into broader brand efforts
  • Establish strong, effective partnerships across organizational functions such as Medical, Patient Services, Patient Advocacy, Commercial Operations, Legal, Regulatory, IT, and agency partners to move work forward with clarity and consistency
  • Lead development of the direct-to-patient digital strategy, including the design of digital programs and experiences that educate, engage, and activate patients and caregivers
  • Define and manage digital performance objectives, KPIs, and measurement frameworks to evaluate channel effectiveness, optimize media and content investments, and improve return on marketing spend over time
  • Monitor campaign and channel performance through ongoing analytics and insight generation, using data to refine targeting, sharpen execution, and ensure investment is directed to the most impactful tactics and platforms
  • Manage external agencies to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget, while maintaining focus on strategic priorities, executional excellence, and efficient resource allocation
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry experience, including at least 3 years of focused experience in U.S. patient marketing
  • Experienced developing and executing both branded and unbranded patient marketing initiatives, including patient ambassador programs
  • Experience in rare disease and/or specialty markets with meaningful competitive complexity
  • Prior U.S. launch experience preferred
  • Experienced contributing to patient-focused digital strategy including development of digital campaigns, patient engagement initiatives, or omnichannel programs
  • Familiarity with digital channel performance measurement, including use of KPIs, campaign metrics, and analytics to assess effectiveness and help optimize investment decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible partnerships across internal teams and external stakeholders, including patient organizations
  • Strong scientific and medical acumen, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, appropriate, and compelling communications for patient and caregiver audiences
  • Proven history of engaging patient communities with empathy, authenticity, and a strong understanding of the human experience behind the disease
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and follow-through
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly, confidently, and effectively to senior leadership and external partners
  • Strong analytical capability, including the ability to interpret data, uncover actionable insights, and translate findings into meaningful messaging and marketing strategies
  • Experience leading complex marketing initiatives through Promotional Review Committee review and approval processes
  • Consistent record of ownership, accountability, and delivering high-quality results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving commercial environment and adapt effectively as priorities shift
  • Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 30%

  • Creative and solution ‑ oriented approach, capable of anticipating operational needs, solving problems, and improving processes that support launch readiness and field effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting marketing material development and operations, including managing timelines, approvals (e.g., MLR), asset inventory, printing, shipping, and onsite execution.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize information and provide clear updates to leadership and field teams.
Pharvaris is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $180,000-$240,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including but not limited to depth of experience, skill set, overall performance, and education. Pharvaris believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package. Base salary is just one component of our competitive total rewards strategy.
