Eligibility Specialist - Senior (Tahoe)

The Job The Sheriff’s Department of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Chiefs direct and coordinate the activities of a group of operating divisions, detention facilities and stations. Recruitment is open only to current San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Captains. This recruitment will result in a new list of eligible candidates to replace the existing list of candidates. Minimum Requirements Applicants must be currently employed in a regular full-time position with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as a Sheriff’s Captain, and have at least one year of experience in said position, as of the filing deadline. NOTE: Clearly differentiate between Captain experience and prior experience. Selection Process There will be a competitive evaluation of promotability based on a departmental review of the applicants' competencies, knowledge, skills and abilities in Management, Supervision, Planning, Policies and Procedures Evaluation and Formulation, Budget Preparation and Fiscal Monitoring, and Promotion of Community Relations.
