Medical Assistant in Simi ValleyWe are hiring for a Medical Assistant in Simi Valley with a start date of June 1st! Provides safe and efficient patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed provider and nurse in performing various administrative duties. Has completed the training and competencies for medical technician in performing the routine tasks needed to care for the clinic patients. This position will be back office focused charting patients for general practice clinic in a hospital health network.ResponsibilitiesTaking vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, age, weight, temp)Heavy InjectionsWorking with one Doctor, seeing about 40 patients per dayPrepping rooms for examinationRefilling medicationsEMR systems and patient documentationEssential SkillsExperience as a Medical AssistantProficiency in taking vitalsHeavy communicationStrong customer service skillsExperience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Additional Skills & QualificationsMedical Assisting Diploma required, Certified Medical Assistant is preferredCPT Certification (preferred but not required)Work EnvironmentClinic environment / Very fast-paced. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
