Field Service Technician

We are partnering with a global technology leader known for its precision automation solutions, exceptional engineering culture, and commitment to employee development. About the Role This is not a role where you’ll sit behind a desk. You’ll be the trusted technical expert customers rely on to install, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize highly specialized automation systems across North America. If you enjoy travel, independence, technical problem-solving, and working alongside a collaborative team of engineers, this could be an exceptional long‑term opportunity. Responsibilities Install, commission, and support advanced automation systems at customer sites Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, networking, and control system issues Lead startup activities and optimize system performance Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Train customers on system operation and best practices Serve as a trusted technical advisor during service visits Collaborate closely with engineering, service, and sales teams Provide remote and onsite technical support as needed Document service activities and technical findings Qualifications Field Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or similar technical field‑service background Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities Experience installing, commissioning, and servicing industrial equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Customer‑facing technical support experience Comfortable traveling extensively throughout North America Required Skills PLCs and industrial controls Automation systems Industrial networking and communications Motion control systems Manufacturing equipment Commissioning and startup activities Pay range and compensation package Base $80-100k + overtime and full benefits Approximately 2–3 weeks of travel per month (roughly 50–70% annual travel). Primarily throughout the United States and Canada. Occasional international travel opportunities. We promote from within!
