Field Service Technician

Position Summary A Field Service Technician is a client‑site facing technician who services lottery retail locations. They perform client‑site servicing, repair, installation, and relocation of company equipment and supplies. The equipment varies from communication hardware to point of sale and vending equipment. The Field Service Technician also provides training and preventative maintenance to customers on all aspects of the equipment. Responsibilities Complete assigned service calls at lottery retailer locations, including scheduled installs, removals, preventative maintenance, and unscheduled service calls. Provide a positive customer experience using customer service and technical skills. Communicate the value of services and match products with customer needs. Perform extensive field repair functions including installs, removal of terminals, communications equipment, and peripheral procedures under little to no supervision. Manage vehicle operations as set by guidelines and maintain routine vehicle maintenance. Record service call information, logs, and report data communication problems to management with recommendations. Follow up on customer issues that require additional support and troubleshoot all forms of communications within a retail location. Assist in the training of new and existing team members when requested. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalency required. Pass a background check, drug test, and maintain a clean driving record. Ability to drive a non‑CDL delivery truck and travel overnight if needed. Familiarity with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Exceptional customer satisfaction skills and prompt response to customer/leadership requests. Strong self‑starter with motivation and ability. Organization and time management skills for effective multitasking. Strong judgement and problem‑solving skills to determine cost‑effective repairs and minimize customer downtime. Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as needed. Physical ability to lift, install, and move large self‑service equipment (35 pounds or more), occasional ladder climbing. Physical Requirements Regular requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, using hands, operating a computer, and having specific vision abilities. Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Use approved personal protective equipment in the field, production, or warehouse as required. Work Conditions & Employment Certain employees may be required to obtain a gaming or other license, undergo background investigations or security checks, or meet other standards mandated by law or contract.
