Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Tech

• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
• Assist in interventional cardiac catheter lab procedures
• Handle cardiac stent placement and implant closure devices
• Conduct percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and PTCA
• Set up and maintain sterile field during procedures
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
• Utilize appropriate equipment and techniques for accurate diagnostics

Requirements of the Cath Lab Tech

• Current ARRT or RCIS certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cath Lab
