Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct supportive individual counseling sessions, addressing the unique needs of clients while adhering to established treatment goals.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes that reflect each patient's journey towards recovery, completed by the end of your shift.

• Orient patients and their families to service offerings, fostering a safe and welcoming environment.

• Assist patients in addressing their personal needs, ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity.

• Advocate for our clients by identifying and securing appropriate community resources and services.

• Manage crises effectively, demonstrating calmness under pressure while conducting safety assessments and reporting any changes in patient behavior.

• Demonstrate solid time management skills, setting priorities and optimizing work time to enhance service delivery.

• Stay informed about the treatment goals for all assigned patients, effectively communicating progress and concerns with the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve providing mental health counseling to a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families from various cultural backgrounds. You will offer services tailored to adults and children, ensuring that every patient receives personalized, culturally competent care that addresses their unique challenges and promotes their well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a proven ability to provide effective mental health services.

• Experience in marriage and family therapy, particularly with diverse populations, is highly desirable.

• Proficient knowledge of diagnostic practices and treatment planning utilizing the DSM-5, including a solid understanding of therapeutic modalities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.

• A demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and work schedules.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for efficient documentation and case management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Woods Mental and Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
