Transportation EIT/Designer

Transportation EIT/Designer As part of HDR's Transportation Business Group, you will help shape the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Responsibilities Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects Take responsibility for plan development of Mobility and Safety projects, including but not limited to Transportation Management Plans, Traffic Signals, and Signing and Delineation Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, quantities and cost estimates, specifications, and calculations Provide assistance with other transportation projects and groups as needed Perform other duties as required Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months; candidates without EIT will have title Transportation Designer and be expected to obtain for career progression Ability to develop designs using MicroStation, GEOPAK, or other transportation design software packages Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Open Roads Designer MS Office experience Preference given to local candidates Primary Location: United States - North Carolina - Raleigh #J-18808-Ljbffr HDR, Inc.
