Step into an engaging teaching environment as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school setting near Bristol, CT. We are searching for two passionate educators with valid CT Special Education certification to make a difference in students’ lives. Full-time, in-person opportunities are available for the following positions:

• At Clover Street School, serve grades 3-5 in a Social Emotional Behavioral classroom, now through October, with the potential for extension.
• At JFK Elementary School, support a Functional Classroom for grades 3-5 from December through early March, also with possible extension.

Both roles offer a full 40-hour work week, with regular school hours from 8:20 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Connecticut certification in Special Education (required)
• Demonstrated experience working with elementary-age students with diverse learning needs
• Strong classroom management skills, particularly in social-emotional or functional learning environments
• Ability to adapt instructional practices for individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborative mindset for working closely with school teams and families
• Experience supporting positive behavior interventions and inclusive education is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in grades 3-5, tailoring teaching to individual needs and IEP goals
• Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive, structured, and inclusive environment
• Implement evidence-based strategies for behavioral and academic growth
• Work closely with fellow educators, staff, and families to ensure students’ social, emotional, and academic success
