(USA) Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC

Location Middletown, DE – 705 Middletown Warwick Rd, Middletown, DE 19709-9095 Position Overview Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician Responsibilities Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills. Use hand, digital, and power tools to complete repair jobs. Utilize the work order management system to receive, document, and complete repair work orders. Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls. Complete all required safety and training requirements for operating equipment and tools. Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart’s safety policies. Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights, including moving up and down ladders. Minimum Qualifications 10 years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience. Type I / Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling. Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report. Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications 8 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience with an AAS in A/C and Refrigeration. Experience with glycol and CO₂ systems. Completion of a 2‑year technical or vocational HVAC/R program. Compensation Individual compensation will be based on experience, skill set, and other job‑related factors. The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00–$51.00, plus potential bonuses and premiums per Walmart policy.
