Speech Therapist

Job Summary Seeking a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. This role supports a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center, offering a dynamic and diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities Provide speech‑language pathology services to patients in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. Conduct bedside swallow evaluations, with a preference for video evaluations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record. Share caseload responsibilities across acute and rehabilitation units. Schedule / Shift Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends preferred. Flexible scheduling is also considered. Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Required Qualifications Licensed as a Speech‑Language Pathologist in the state of Missouri. Certifications State of Missouri Speech‑Language Pathology License. Experience Experience in acute care settings. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings. Experience performing bedside swallow evaluations. Skills Proficiency in conducting bedside swallow evaluations, including video evaluations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload. EMR / Systems Meditech Patient Population Adults and geriatric patients of diverse backgrounds. Unit / Specialty Acute Care Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) Level 1 Trauma Center Comprehensive Stroke Center Floating / On-Call Must be willing to float between acute care and rehabilitation units.
