Job Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for patients across all age groups, employing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Create customized treatment plans that focus on both immediate and long-range goals in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech and language therapy sessions, emphasizing communication skills, fluency, vocal health, and swallowing challenges.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families to help facilitate progress beyond the clinic.
• Support with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
• Document patient interactions and progress accurately and timely, adhering to all relevant guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing learning and development to keep pace with advancements in the field through education and peer discussions.

Education and Credentials

• A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY) if ASHA certification is yet to be obtained.

Required Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within the first 30 days of employment.
