Digital Content Strategist

AI/AEO Discoverability PodBusiness Initiative/Purpose: (Goal, Business Impact, Accomplishments from the work)The AI/AEO Discoverability Pod is establishing a coordinated operating model across content, technology, design, corporate communications, and other functions to execute priority workstreams. The pod will consist of 14 specialized contractors focused on increasing Client's visibility and presence across AI-powered search and chatbot experiences. The team will work closely with stakeholders and an external SEO/AI agency to drive strategy, content development, optimization, and measurement.Bachelor Degree: (Required, Preferred or Not Required)Required.Role Responsibilities: (what they will be doing)Partner with digital strategists, experience designers, site developers, subject matter experts, legal/compliance partners, and other stakeholders to deliver distinctive online experiences with compelling content. Champion the Client's brand voice through content strategy, writing, editing, peer reviews, agency consultation, training, and collaboration with subject matter experts. Analyze, plan, develop, and implement content strategies aligned with business goals and team objectives. Understand product value propositions and target audiences while incorporating user research and behavioral science principles into content strategy. Write and edit engaging, easy-to-understand, on-brand content supported by data and research. Apply UX writing principles to guide visitors through the optimal digital experience and make next steps clear and actionable. Participate in content standards discussions, peer reviews, and cross-channel alignment initiatives. Stay current with digital trends, usability, accessibility, SEO, and industry best practices. Champion editorial standards, grammar, formatting, quality, consistency, and brand alignment across Client's product families. Lead with content strategy by applying and sharing content best practices across cross-functional teams. Leverage technology to capture, store, repurpose, deliver, and preserve Client's content. Perform quality assurance at each stage of content delivery to maintain content integrity and ensure project requirements and standards are met.Must Have Skills/Prior ExperiencesBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, English, or a related field, or equivalent education and training. 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge and expertise in content marketing and marketing principles, including market research, analytics, and digital marketing. Experience managing or leading projects or project workstreams and operating as a lead in a specialty area. Knowledge of the competitive landscape and factors differentiating Client and its competitors. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to different audiences and build consensus among stakeholders. Ability to provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to experienced teammates. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including preparing presentations for senior-level stakeholders.Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior ExperiencesExcellent writing skills with demonstrated experience creating content for websites and other digital interfaces, including copywriting and UX writing. 5+ years of online/digital content development and content strategy experience. Experience working in teams that use Agile methodologies and processes.
