Choices for People assists in individual goal-oriented program planning, and acts as an advocate in the community through the removal of attitudinal, architectural, environmental, financial, employment-related, communicational, transportation, and other barriers.

The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all revenue cycle functions, including billing, claims management, reimbursement, accounts receivable, collections, denial management, and revenue optimization. This position ensures timely and accurate reimbursement from all payor sources while maximizing cash flow and maintaining compliance with organizational, state, federal, and payor requirements.

The Director of Revenue Cycle supervises Residential Finance Specialists and works collaboratively with programs, administration, and finance leadership to improve revenue cycle performance and enhance operational effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

• Direct and oversee all billing and reimbursement functions.
• Ensure timely submission of claims to Medicaid and other payors.
• Manage accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Monitor aging reports and implement corrective action strategies.
• Lead denial management and appeal processes.
• Identify reimbursement trends and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
• Develop and monitor revenue cycle performance metrics.
• Supervise and develop residential finance staff.
• Improve workflows to increase efficiency and reduce reimbursement delays.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure accurate census and service documentation.
• Review remittance advice and payment posting accuracy.
• Monitor reimbursement variances and underpayment trends.
• Assist in monthly revenue analysis and forecasting.
• Provide reports and recommendations to finance leadership regarding revenue cycle performance.
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations and payor requirements.
• Maintain working knowledge of Medicaid insurance reimbursement requirements.
• Assist with audits related to billing and reimbursement functions.
• Oversee process for individual benefit eligibility and requirements.
• Oversee individual mandated budgets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Five years of progressively responsible revenue cycle experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with service coordinators, residential treatment, or Medicaid reimbursement strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of claims processing, AR management, and third-party payor requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and engage effectively with individuals served, staff, community members, and partners.
• Strong initiative, independence, and time-management abilities.
• Commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commonly used financial systems
• Ability to represent the organization professionally in community settings, stakeholder meetings, and public events.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, move, and be physically active for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift 30–50 pounds.
• Ability to participate in and support activities occurring in a variety of environments (indoor, outdoor, community settings).
