Job Details Location: Shriver – Devens, MA 01434 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 2 Year Degree Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $47,000.00 Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Description Provide instruction and training to students during the Job Corps orientation program. Develop individual achievement plans and evaluate progress to ensure early retention and success. Supervise, instruct, and train students in assigned classrooms. Offer remedial support and guidance to help students complete orientation requirements. Conduct effective classroom instruction and evaluate student performance. Assess students’ readiness to transition to the full Job Corps training program schedule. Provide comprehensive, individualized case management to ensure student progress, retention, and completion. Establish supportive/mentoring relationships with students and provide personal and career counseling. Document and evaluate student performance using the case management system. Coordinate pre‑arrival activities to ensure an effective transition to Center life, including phone calls, transportation, welcome celebration, folder review, needs assessment, introduction to staff, and campus tour. Maintain an organized, clean, safe environment that promotes student and staff success. Produce quality work and assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner. Maintain personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards. Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet goals and deadlines. Provide high‑quality supervision and management for the student population, taking appropriate actions to influence behavior positively. Collaborate with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services. Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, or Shift Manager and perform temporary responsibilities of other departments when assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Schedule Monday‑Friday, 7:45 AM‑4:45 PM Duration: 8‑10 weeks with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment based on staffing needs and individual performance. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required; a degree from an accredited school preferred. Previous experience in group facilitation, teaching, or within Job Corps preferred. Valid in‑state Driver’s License and compliance with company insurability requirements. Drug Policy Massachusetts allows marijuana for medical and recreational use, but it remains illegal under federal law. As a federal contractor, we maintain a drug‑free workplace and prohibit federally illegal substances. This position requires pre‑ and post‑employment drug screening.
