Join a dynamic healthcare IT team as an Epic Analyst with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) credential, supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. This full-time role involves collaborating closely with clinical, IT, and operational staff to optimize workflows and enhance system functionality across a regional healthcare network in the Midwest.

General Summary

The Epic Analyst is responsible for configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Epic applications, ensuring seamless integration and user satisfaction. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under deadlines during critical implementation phases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze workflows, business requirements, and technical issues related to Epic applications.
• Configure Epic modules including workflows, reports, and user settings.
• Support installation and maintenance of system infrastructure for EMR.
• Implement enhancements and maintain the EMR system functionality.
• Evaluate new features and recommend prioritization for system improvements.
• Troubleshoot user issues and provide daily and ad-hoc support.
• Collaborate with IT, clinical, and business teams to develop efficient workflows.
• Participate in rigorous testing of system enhancements to ensure quality solutions.
• Innovate solutions to improve services and reduce costs while managing workload effectively.

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is required.

Experience

• Preferred experience in oncology pharmacy.
• Familiarity with Epic systems is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven ability to set goals, develop action plans, and meet deadlines.
• Experience gathering and analyzing data to develop efficient workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and change management skills.
• Preferred experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
• Background in healthcare IT or related fields is advantageous.
• Experience supporting, training, building, or configuring EMR systems is a plus.

Certifications

Certifications or proficiency in Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Clinical Documentation, Orders, Willow, or Beacon are preferred.

Mental and Physical Requirements

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and produce technical documentation. May require occasional work outside regular hours to resolve technical issues. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and moderate lifting (up to 10 lbs).

Working Conditions

Standard office environment with climate control and consistent computer use, which may cause visual or muscular discomfort. Occasional exposure to patient care areas and infectious diseases while supporting end users.
