Estimator Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join our team in Winston, GA, 30187. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our project planning and budgeting processes, ensuring that our projects are accurately estimated and executed within budget. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for construction or project management, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for estimates.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes.
- Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing for reference on future projects.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices to enhance estimating accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus.
