Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant for our client in Conroe, TX. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting functions to ensure smooth financial operations. Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
• Process invoices, payments, expense reporting, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain financial reports related to AR/AP activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain payroll and accounting records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support inventory and cost accounting functions as needed.
• Communicate with vendors and customers to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed.
• Maintain organized records of all transactions and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), preferably in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
