Associate Director, Clinical Supply Logistics & Distribution — Cell Therapy

AstraZeneca seeks an experienced supply chain leader to design and implement the global clinical supply model for off-the-shelf cell therapy programs. The Associate Director will oversee supply strategy, distribution network operations, and order fulfillment across allogeneic and in vivo development programs, ensuring reliable and compliant delivery to trial sites worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic vision and operating model for end-to-end clinical supply chain across allogeneic and in vivo programs
• Translate study designs, enrollment forecasts, and manufacturing constraints into integrated supply plans with scenario planning
• Lead clinical supply execution from study startup through completion, ensuring uninterrupted investigational product delivery
• Establish and operate order management and fulfillment model including demand signals, allocation logic, and inventory replenishment
• Coordinate distribution network operations with logistics providers, manage cold chain requirements, and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, life sciences, engineering, business administration, or related field
• 8+ years clinical supply chain management with increasing responsibility in global trials and regulated environments
• Experience leading clinical supply activities across multiple studies, geographies, or programs in biologics or specialty pharmaceuticals
• Expertise with inventory-based, temperature-controlled clinical supply models including depot distribution and cold chain logistics
• Working knowledge of clinical distribution networks, third-party logistics, and distributor governance models
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA, GDP, GMP, and regulations governing clinical investigational medicinal products
