Dishwasher (Part-time)

Description Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is looking for a dependable team member to assist with meal service, dishwashing, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. This role helps ensure residents and guests receive excellent dining service in a safe and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Transport dishes between the dining room, kitchen, and dishwashing area. Keep wait staff stocked with dishes, silverware, and serving items. Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen following infection control and food safety guidelines. Use supplies and equipment safely and according to Fairhaven policies. Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and coworkers. Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA requirements. Report any concerns involving resident safety, rights, abuse, or neglect. Qualifications Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout a shift. Able to read and follow directions. Friendly and able to communicate effectively in English with residents and coworkers. Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community. Work Environment Primarily works in kitchen and dining service areas. Regular exposure to hot water, steam, food service equipment, and cleaning supplies. May encounter typical healthcare-related risks associated with working around elderly residents.
