Accounts Payable Processor

Review, verify, code, process and pay accounts payable invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Reconcile accounts and serve as liaison with other departments regarding questions and/or discrepancies. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) Common job activities are listed below; actual position responsibilities may vary. Refer to your manager or human resources for specific duties and performance expectations. 1. Review and process accounts payable invoices and employee expense reimbursements. (75-80%)

• * Calculate and verify invoice accuracy.
• Compute discounts, code expenses, perform data entry and prepare vouchers

for payment.

• Balance to batch total.
• Generate reports, remit payment, and maintain files.
• Total accounts, prepare account statements and other reports, as required.
• Post details of business transactions to appropriate ledger and journal and

total accounts.

• Maintain vendor files.
• Process vendor and employee payments.

1. Maintain files and records of invoices and amounts owed. (5-10%)
2. Complete reconciliations. (10-15%)
3. Provide accounts payable assistance and serve as a liaison with other

departments regarding questions and/or discrepancies. (5-10%) 5. Prepare routine correspondence pertaining to the work of the department. (0-5%)

1. May assist accounts receivable and commission processors. (0-5%)
2. Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (0-5%)

Qualifications Education: * Associate degree in accounting or business, or equivalent knowledge and work experience. Experience: * 1 to 3 years’ accounts payable experience. Related industry experience helpful. * Experience working with vendors and customers. Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong computer skills; proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and interest.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Perform and prioritize multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Wage: $25.00 - $28.37 hourly; actual wage is based upon education and experience.
