The Executive Pastry Sous Chef is responsible for overseeing daily pastry production and leading the pastry team across M Street concepts. This role combines strong technical pastry skills with team leadership, organization, and a commitment to consistent quality and execution. Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Lead daily pastry production and ensure consistent quality and presentation
• Prepare pastries, desserts, baked goods, and breads according to M Street standards
• Lead, train, coach, and develop pastry Team Members
• Plan and execute production for daily service, events, and special functions
• Manage pastry inventory, ordering, storage, and product quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen
• Collaborate with culinary, operations, and events teams
• Support recipe development and process improvements
• Maintain accountability and contribute to a positive team culture

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership role
• Strong pastry and baking experience with excellent technical skills
• Experience leading, training, and developing a culinary team
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Creative, solutions-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
• Open and receptive to feedback
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen standards
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
