Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working in mod/severe special education classrooms strongly preferred
• Familiarity with supporting medically fragile students
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with classroom assistants
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction and support to a class of approximately 7 students with moderate to severe needs
• Manage and collaborate with a team of 3 classroom assistants to ensure the highest standard of care
• Design and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student goals and accommodations
• Monitor, document, and communicate student progress with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for medically fragile students
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and related service providers to support students’ unique needs
