Speech Language Pathologist

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based Location: Kent, WA | King County School District: Kent School District Schedule: Monday-Friday | School Hours Setting: K-12 School-Based Employment Type: Contract / School-Based Pay: $65-70/hr Help Students Find Their Voice ATC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based speech and language services to students within Kent School District in King County, Washington . The SLP will evaluate and treat students with a variety of communication needs while collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students successfully participate in their educational environment. Responsibilities As a School-Based SLP, you will: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, including articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, voice, social-pragmatic communication, and AAC needs Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable student goals Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy Deliver services through individual, small-group, and classroom-based models as appropriate Develop, implement, and monitor speech and language goals within students' IEPs Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, reevaluations, and progress reviews Assess and support Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs Provide guidance and training to staff and families regarding AAC systems when appropriate Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on individual needs and outcomes Complete evaluations, progress reports, service documentation, and other required records Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, OTs, PTs, psychologists, nurses, families, and other members of the educational team Promote inclusive and accessible communication throughout the school environment Maintain compliance with IDEA, Section 504, Washington State requirements, district policies, and professional standards Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license Current CCC-SLP or eligibility to complete a Clinical Fellowship (CF) Strong evaluation, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams CPR/First Aid certification if required by the assignment Ability to meet all Kent School District and ATC Healthcare credentialing, background, and health requirements Preferred Qualifications Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience Experience working within Washington schools Knowledge of IEP, IDEA, Section 504, and MTSS frameworks Experience with AAC assessment and implementation Experience supporting students with autism and complex communication needs Knowledge of early language development and literacy-based interventions Strong organizational and caseload management skills Why Join ATC Healthcare?
