Marketing & Business Development Manager

The Marketing & Business Development Manager supports ENO's growth across both direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels through integrated marketing execution (20%), ownership of key marketing channels (20%), and new business development (60%). Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer & VP of Sales, this role works closely alongside the Art Director and Content Marketing Manager to plan and execute product launches, seasonal campaigns, and other integrated marketing initiatives. The Marketing & Business Development Manager is responsible for the day-to-day strategy, execution, and performance of assigned marketing channels, including email/SMS, public relations, and retail marketing, with strategic direction and support from the CMO and broader Marketing team. In addition, this position is responsible for expanding ENO's wholesale distribution (60%) by identifying, prospecting, and converting new accounts outside of ENO's traditional specialty outdoor channel, with a focus on adjacent retail categories. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Leadership, the ideal candidate is a collaborative, highly organized marketer and relationship builder who is equally comfortable coordinating integrated campaigns, analyzing performance, prospecting new customers, and presenting ENO to prospective retail partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Art Director, Content Marketing Manager, Product, Sales, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership to coordinate integrated marketing initiatives across direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels. Support product launches, seasonal campaigns, promotions, and go-to-market initiatives, including management of the annual marketing calendar, timelines, deliverables, assets, and cross-functional communication. Execute lifecycle marketing across email and SMS, including copywriting, segmentation, automation, testing, and performance optimization within Klaviyo. Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners on paid media across Google, Meta, DSP, and other channels, monitoring performance and recommending optimizations, with the opportunity to directly manage TikTok and MNTN advertising. Support retail marketing, co-marketing, merchandising, affiliate marketing, public relations, partnerships, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives, including management of inbound brand opportunities. Coordinate marketing compliance across email, SMS, website, and digital marketing activities, including privacy, accessibility/ADA, consent and opt-out requirements, in coordination with leadership and external resources. Identify, research, and develop new wholesale opportunities outside ENO's traditional specialty outdoor channel, including summer camps, bookstores, resorts, destination retail, gift and lifestyle, farm and hardware, and other adjacent categories. Build and maintain a qualified new-business pipeline through proactive prospecting, outreach, referrals, trade shows, industry associations, and inbound opportunities; develop buyer relationships, present products, recommend assortments, and guide qualified prospects through account setup and initial orders. Support ENO's bulk and co-brand program, including prospecting, inbound inquiries, quoting, project coordination, and repeat business opportunities. Support existing sales representatives and retail accounts as needed through order processing, account management, sales follow-up, and coordination with internal teams to provide a seamless retailer experience. Maintain accurate prospect, account, pipeline, and forecasting information within ENO's sales systems, providing regular reporting and sharing buyer feedback, competitive activity, product trends, merchandising insights, and emerging opportunities with internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

3–5+ years of experience in marketing, wholesale sales, business development, account management, or a combination thereof, preferably within consumer products, outdoor, lifestyle, or ecommerce brands. Experience coordinating multi-channel marketing campaigns, with familiarity across lifecycle marketing, paid media, ecommerce, and marketing analytics. Experience with field marketing, trade shows, retailer events, or other in-person brand and sales activations, including event planning and execution. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, prospect new business opportunities, and confidently communicate and present to buyers, partners, and external stakeholders. Strong project management, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple marketing and sales priorities simultaneously. Experience managing budgets, tracking spend, and evaluating performance against marketing and business objectives. Analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to interpret marketing, sales, customer, and pipeline data and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Collaborative approach with demonstrated ability to work effectively across Creative, Product, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Leadership, agencies, and external partners. Working knowledge of platforms such as Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4, Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, MNTN, QuickBooks Online, Excel/Google Sheets, and related marketing and sales technologies. Ability to travel approximately 15–20% annually for trade shows, retailer meetings, media events, consumer events, and company initiatives.

Experience with SEO, content optimization, and organic search strategy. Experience managing affiliate marketing programs, influencer partnerships, or other performance-based partnerships. Experience with public relations, media relations, sponsorships, or brand partnerships. Familiarity with wholesale sales, retailer marketing, merchandising, or working directly with retail buyers. Experience with CRM platforms, sales pipeline management, and lead-generation tools. Experience with direct mail, customer segmentation, or other retention and acquisition programs. Familiarity with consumer product launches and go-to-market planning. Experience within the outdoor, recreation, sporting goods, or related consumer lifestyle industries.
