Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Receiving Clerk position is responsible for the reception, inspection, documentation, and storing of all products received at the facility. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods for production and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Physically offloading and receiving shipments ensuring they are in acceptable condition and signing for deliveries when applicable.
• Receive shipments based on the provided packing slips checking for damage, defects, or discrepancies in quantity.
• Properly document the product that has been received being sure to denote important information such as quantity, part numbers, product location, and the date the shipment was received.
• Store the received product in designated locations ensuring that the product is organized and accessible for order pickers.
• Work in coordination with the Product Design Engineer to ensure fabricated parts that are received meet the specifications provided to the vendors.
• Cross-train in other warehouse roles including, but not limited to, order picking and inventory control to maintain a flexible and well-rounded workforce.
• Other duties may be assigned in conjunction with current responsibilities if appropriate.

Work Environment:

A fast-paced warehouse environment which requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time. Personal protective equipment may be required when performing particular tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is critical
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs. individually and greater in a team lift)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and with a team
• Forklift certification is a plus
