Talent Development Specialist

Department: CORP | Training & Development Location: Phoenix Shift: Mon-Fri, Days, 8am-5pm Category: Human Resources Posting #: 1031928 Employee Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Talent Development Specialist works closely with other members of the Talent Development team and HR colleagues to develop skills of frontline staff to improve performance and behaviors. Assists in the execution and implementation of organizational and departmental programs and initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with curriculum design, facilitating, supporting, and evaluating departmental and organization-wide initiatives and programs for clinical or non-clinical frontline employees in alignment with PC’s strategic needs and talent management endeavors, including (but not limited to) onboarding, culture, competencies, employee engagement, team building, performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, change management, recognition, and retention efforts. Position Duties Partners with other Talent Development and HR team members to improve employee performance and effectiveness through the deployment of customized and organizational interventions, solutions, and initiatives. Facilitates required workshops and follows-up on employees’ progress by incorporating knowledge of adult learning theory. Proactively evaluates and supports the needs of various departments. Knows, understands, incorporates, and models PC’s Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Measures the efficiency, effectiveness, and outcomes of Talent Development programs and shares with Talent Development team. Maintains a working knowledge of Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Phoenix Children's Code of Conduct; and other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior. Bachelor’s degree in health care, business, adult education, or related field. (Required) Master’s degree in business, adult education, or related field. (Preferred) Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience coaching and/or teaching adult learners. (Required) Minimum of 2 years of experience in health care. (Preferred) Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience. (Preferred) Special Skills Demonstrated proficiency with facilitation, adult learning styles and practices, group dynamics, and interactive learning methods. (Required) Exceptional written, oral, and positive influential interpersonal and communication skills. (Required) Ability to take initiative and work independently. Must be adaptable to change and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and balance competing priorities. (Required) Must be outgoing, results oriented, and have the ability to work as a team. (Required) Previous experience in health care or ability to learn and understand both clinical and non-clinical terms. (Required) Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products.
