The Receiving Supervisor reports to the Manager of Materials Management and directs all receiving and warehouse activities. This would include truck unloading, issuing ingredients, delegating tasks, and supervising warehouse workers.

Here's more of what you'll get to do:

• Follow and enforce all safety standards. Must always be alert and use best common judgment.
• Supervise the warehouse maintaining a clean and litter free environment, i.e. sweeping, mopping the floor is mandatory as part of housekeeping.
• Ensure the warehouse is always secure, i.e. checking all access doors and making sure it is always closed. Question, control, and report people who do not belong to the warehouse.
• Responsible for all ingredients making sure the ingredients are properly organized and rotated applying first expired first out method (FEFO). Also, to make sure all open ingredients are taped off with open date applied (partial tags).
• Responsible for documenting all outgoing ingredients.
• Ensure all inventories are counted precisely and report any discrepancies to the manager and buyer immediately.
• The ability to stay focused and alert; clear and concise communication; utilize basic math skills; audit paperwork; team player; use of common sense understanding to carry out routine tasks with appropriate follow-up.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time; close vision; ability to hear, speak, walk, bend, stoop, reach and twist. Ability to work in confined and/or closed area.

What we require:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience within the Consumer Manufacturing Industry.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory level role.
• A proven track record in documentation for all logistics operations, inventory control, procedure, task delegation and employee development.
• Experience with inventory scanning systems preferred.
• An excellent problem-solver with the ability to communicate with senior management as well as motivate team members to meet departmental objectives and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP), warehouse management system (WMS), or similar system to support daily operations, research transactions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated moderate Excel proficiency, including the ability to manipulate and analyze date, create reports, identify trends and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize systems and technology and quickly learn new platforms.
• Ability to analyze data to identify inventory issues, provide status reporting and recommend necessary actions.
• Capable of building and maintaining an engaged, high functioning team and providing the motivation needed to drive performance.
• Must be Forklift Certified.
