A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE: Preparing, reviewing, and verifying the accuracy of journal entries, supporting schedules, and documentation Maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the accounting system Analyzing inventory levels, costing, obsolescence, shrinkage, and valuation for financial reporting Training junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed Assisting with external audit requests Ensuring compliance with internal control guidelines. Performing financial variance analysis Assisting management with ad-hoc requests, including special projects Performing other related duties as required and assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: BBA or BS in Accounting REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of accounting experience Thorough knowledge of GAAP Must be familiar with full cycle accounting Experience with QuickBooks Online Accounting experience with an emphasis on inventory or cost accounting Experience with an ERP system Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis tools) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, without losing attention to detail Requires initiative based on familiarity with the organization and accounting practices and procedures Adaptable to multiple and frequent changes in business environment IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE: Experience with BST Experience with multi-company processing preferred LEVEL UP WITH LJA At LJA, we’re 100% employee-owned.
